BILLINGS, Mont. – South Dakota Mines Golf recorded second and third place performances to close out the fall season at the Briarwood Shootout.
The South Dakota Mines Golf teams closed out the fall seasons with two top three finishes. The Briarwood Shootout was delayed on day one due to snow in the Billings area. The temperature remained in the mid-30's throughout the invitational.
On the women's team, the Hardrockers recorded second place, their best placement of the season so far.
Kenzie Schroeder highlighted for South Dakota Mines with third place out of 33 golfers. She shot a 77 in the first round and a 79 in the second round to total a 156.
Addiley Lloyd finished just behind her in fourth place with a 163. Lloyd totaled five birdies in her outing.
Marin Keller recorded 13
th,
Lora Ortega picked up 26
th and
Taylor Ullen placed 30
th.
The men's team finished third overall, guided by a second round where they shot +4 collectively.
Brycen Farris led South Dakota Mines with his 145 for second place. Farris picked up eight birdies between both of his rounds, the second-most of anyone in the field. He shot a 72 in the first round and a 73 in the second.
Isaac Schmidt shot a 71 in the second round to jump to fifth place.
Tyler White recorded ninth and
Cole Thompson placed 18
th.
Ramey Lloyd rounded out South Dakota Mines with 26
th.
Central Wyoming won the men's side, while MSU Billings took home a trophy for the women.

The Hardrockers will be back in action next spring. The schedule will be released in the coming months.
