BILLINGS, Mont. – South Dakota Mines Golf finished in eighth on the men's side and sixth on the women's side at the Yellowjacket Invitational this week.
Originally scheduled for 54 holes, this invitational was changed to 36 holes due to frost in the Billings area.
Alison Kennedy highlighted for the women's team with a 10
th place finish. She shot a 78 in the first round, followed by an 83 in the second round to pick up 10
th for the Hardrockers.
Kenzie Schroeder's 167 put her in 24
th. She was followed by
Marin Keller in 28
th,
Addiley Lloyd in 33
rd and
Lora Ortega in 39
th.
Taylor Ullen recorded 51
st and Kaliyah picked up 56
th as individuals.
The Hardrockers score of 660 put them in sixth place out of the 11 participating teams. They finished behind MSU-Billings and were in front of UMary.
On the men's team,
Brycen Farris collected ninth place out of 52 competitors. Farris recorded four birdies in round one to total a 72. He followed that up with a 75 in the second round to total a 147.
Tyler White carded a 71 in the first round and an 80 in round two as he finished in 24
th.

Ramey Lloyd placed 44
th and
Matai Naqica placed 47
th to round out the Hardrockers "Navy" team.
The Hardrockers "Gold" team placed in ninth.
Isaac Schmidt and
Andrew Sinar both highlighted with 26

Owen Jorgenson finished in 39
th and
Caeden Ekroth picked up 44
th.
As a team, the South Dakota Mines Navy squad finished with a 615 for eighth place. The Gold team shot a 616 to place in ninth.
Rocky Mountain won both the men's and women's invitational.
What's Next
The Hardrockers men and women will compete in their last competition of the fall next week at the Briarwood Shootout in Billings, Montana. MSU Billings will host the invitational at Briarwood CC.
