RAPID CITY, S.D. --- On Thursday morning, head coach
Bill Schaefer finalized the 2024 South Dakota Mines soccer schedule.
The Hardrocker soccer team heads into the season with high hopes after showing signs of improvement in 2023. The 2023 team won its most games since the 2019 season and tied the second most in school history.
An individual also was named RMAC Player of the Week when
Rider Grow earned the honor on Sept. 26 after scoring a game-winning goal against Adams State. It was the first time a Hardrocker had earned that award since 2017.
South Dakota Mines starts the season on the road and overall has a light home schedule with just six home matches scheduled.
Opening the month of September is a pair of neutral field matchups being played at Colorado Christian in Lakewood, Colorado when they take on Emmanuel and William Jewell on Sept. 6 and Sept. 8.
A Texas two-step follows as the Hardrockers are at Texas A&M International University and Sul Ross State University on Sept. 13 and Sept. 15, before finishing the month of September at Dakota Wesleyan on the 21st and Colorado Christian on the 25th.
SDM finally has a home stand beginning with a matchup on senior day against Adams State on Sept. 27 followed by matchups with Westminster and Colorado Mesa on Oct. 4 and Oct. 6.
Road matchups follow with Fort Lewis and Adams State on Oct. 11 and Oct. 13.
MSU Denver and Colorado School of Mines are scheduled for home matchups on Oct. 17 and Oct. 20.
The last two matchups of the month are at Regis on Oct. 25 followed by the home finale on Oct. 27 against Colorado Christian.
On Nov. 1 and Nov. 3 the regular season wraps up with matchups at UCCS and CSU Pueblo.
RMAC Playoffs are set to take place from Nov. 10-17.
The Hardrockers home games take place at Dakota Fields and will be free to attend.
