LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – The South Dakota Mines women's golf team finished its first week of play in its second tournament in Arizona.
They held strong posting a consistent two rounds of play and picking up a strong fourth place finish after posting 316 in round one and 318 in round two.
Rianna Garland posted back-to-back 79 rounds to pick up a 14
th place finish along with teammate
Addiley Lloyd who finished with an 81 after a first round 77.
Kenzie Schroeder posted an 82 to finish one stroke behind her teammates at 159 and picked up a top-20 finish in a tie for 19th.
Annika Schooler improved on her first round of play to shoot an 80 and finish in a tie for 29th.
Rounding out the team was
Mya Maxwell who posted a much improved and team-leading 78 to wrap up her tournament with a 166 and a tie for 35th.
Kyra Allen and
Allison Kahler played as individuals and Allen posted a consistent 86-84 through the two rounds while Kahler improved on day 2 by 13 strokes to post an 85.
The women's golf team has some time off as they do not compete again until March 24-25 when they head to CSU Pueblo.
