OWASSO, Okla. – South Dakota Mines Women's Golf completed their first spring invitational of the season, picking up fifth place at the Hillcat Classic.
To open the season, South Dakota Mines traveled to Owasso, Oklahoma, to play at Bailey Ranch Golf Course, hosted by Rogers State. The Hardrockers picked up fifth place out of seven teams.
Kenzie Schroeder led the Rockers in the first round, shooting a 78.
Alison Kennedy shot an 81, while
Addiley Lloyd and
Marin Keller both shot an 87. The Rockers sat in fourth place after day one with their collective score of 333.
In round two, Lloyd shot an 80 to lead the Hardrockers. She recorded two birdies in the second round. Schroeder shot an 82, Kenney picked up an 88 and Keller collected a 92.
Schroeder recorded eighth place overall for the Rockers. Lloyd sat behind her in 16
th and Kennedy collected 21
st. As a team, the Hardrockers placed fifth out of seven teams. Rogers State won the Hillcat Classic, followed by Redlands CC and Indian Hills CC.

The Hardrocker women are back in action on Mar. 22-23 at the Southern Colorado Open in Pueblo, Colorado. They will open April at the Augustana Spring Inviter from Apr. 6-7.
