RAPID CITY, S.D. – Grant Smith who recently completed his sixth year for the South Dakota Mines football team is hoping to continue his playing career and will get an opportunity to work out in front of professional scouts.
On Monday, the University of South Dakota will be hosting a pro day for pro prospects with scouts in attendance from the NFL and other leagues.
Grant Smith will get a chance to show his talents after having a stellar career along the offensive line at South Dakota Mines.
Smith has been on the pro radar for some time as a Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List member in 2023 and Top 1000 for the Shrine bowl in the same year.
Despite missing significant time with injuries, Smith was a D2Football.com Preseason All-America selection and a D2Football.com Elite 100 Watch list pick and two-time All-RMAC selection.
