RAPID CITY, S.D. – On Tuesday, former South Dakota Mines football player and student assistant, Adrian Eastman signed a professional football contract with the Arena Football League's Rapid City Marshals.
Eastman played for the Hardrockers for five seasons from 2018-2022 and spent the 2023 season as a student assistant coach.
In his five seasons, Eastman played in each and every one of the 48 games, becoming a regular starter at the safety position early in his career and maintaining that role throughout his career.
Named an RMAC All-Conference Honorable Mention selection in his fifth season in 2022 after totaling 43 tackles and two interceptions, it was far from his only successful season.
Eastman recorded 56 tackles and two interceptions, 79 tackles along with two picks and 39 tackles from the safety spot in 2018, 2019 and 2021.
In the COVID-19 shortened 2020 season, Eastman again appeared in all four contests, recording 21 tackles and an interception.
"I am extremely proud of Adrian and the work he has done on and off the field to continue to give him a chance to play the game of football," said South Dakota Mines head football coach Charlie Flohr. "He is the ultimate team player and will bring a ton of energy to the Marshals."
The Rapid City Marshals are scheduled to begin their season at home at the Monument on April 20.
