Connor Taylor Sets School Record, Named RMAC Player of the Week

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Connor Taylor has had a great career at South Dakota Mines and will go down as one of, if not the best special teamers in school history.

This weekend, he added to that legacy. In making a field goal, he is now the sole leader in career field goals made in South Dakota Mines history with 34.

On the heels of that, thanks to that field goal and an overall great weekend, Monday afternoon, the RMAC selected and announced its player of the week selections for football and Connor Taylor was honored as the Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Taylor connected on the field goal, three PATs and booted four of five kickoffs for touchbacks, also punting five times for an average of 43.2 yards per punt while downing one inside the 20 and booting a long of 66 yards.

The Hardrockers host senior day at O'Harra Stadium on Saturday at noon as they take on Colorado Mesa.
