COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - This afternoon, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced its RMAC All-Academic Volleyball teams and for the first time in school history, South Dakota Mines had multiple student-athletes honored on the first team with
Alessandra Meoni and
Kiley Metzger earning the honor.
In addition, the Hardrockers had six more selected to the honor roll.
Individuals must have a minimum of a 3.50 GPA to be elgible for the first team and 3.30 to be selected to the Honor Roll. Both awards require student-athletes to have completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters at their respective institutions.
Both first team selections have near perfect GPAs with
Alessandra Meoni as a senior studying biomedical engineering, while
Kiley Metzger will graduate with her master's degree in Engineering Management after earning her undergraduate degree in 2023 in Electrical Engineering.
The other six student-athletes named to the honor roll were as follows:

Emma Grimm - Sr., Biomedical Engineering
Hannah Benes - Jr., Mechanical Engineering
Jenna Curtis - Sr., Pre-Professional Health Sciences
Josey Wickersham - So., Biomedical Engineering
