COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference selected its RMAC Volleyball players of the week on Monday afternoon.
In a historic moment for the program, the Hardrockers made a clean sweep of the awards for the first time.
Alessandra Meoni,
Hannah Benes, and
Kiley Metzger were all recognized for their outstanding performances, with Meoni named offensive player of the week, Benes as defensive player of the week, and Metzger as setter of the week.
Alessandra Meoni's performance this year has been nothing short of exceptional. She ranks second in the RMAC in points per set, kills per set, and is in the top-10 for hitting percentage. This past weekend, Meoni showcased her versatility with a pair of double-doubles, recording 15 digs in each match and a total of 30 kills.
Hannah Benes earned her second RMAC Player of the Week award of the season with another great week, where she recorded 44 digs, five aces, and 11 assists. Benes continues to lead the RMAC in digs per set and aces.
Kiley Metzger's performance over the weekend was phenomenal as usual. She recorded 66 assists and maintained a hitting percentage of over .350. Her standout moment came on Saturday when she achieved a double-double, recording 15 digs.
