Hardrocker Football Faces Tough Road Test at Truman State

RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The Hardrocker football team heads for a tough road challenge on Saturday morning as they battle with Truman State who is receiving votes in the AFCA top-25 poll.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

1Jalen Frye and Ben Noland both made huge impacts as newcomers, joining the Hardrockers as transfers from Bemidji State and Northen State respectively. Frye had 15 carries for 136 yards and 1 touchdown, while Noland had 8 receptions for 89 yards and 2 scores.
2. The Hardrockers commited to the run and emphasizing the run in the offseason and it paid off in game 1, carrying the ball 42 times for a total of 215 yards with seven players recording at least one carry.
3. The Hardrocker front seven is reloaded after losing some significant contributors and performed well in game one, recording a pair of sacks and four tackles for loss.
4. Defensively, the Hardrockers shut out Valley City State in week 1, after giving up 14 points in the first half, and a lot of that is due to the pressure put on the quarterbacks and forcing turnovers as Kaleb Tischler, Casey Knutsen, and Hunter Newsom each recorded and interception.
5. In addition to the interception, Kaleb Tischler was all over the field, recoding 12 tackles.
