LUBBOCK, Texas --- The South Dakota Mines soccer team went down to Texas to take on Lubbock Christian.
Lubbock Christian was able to get going early, scoring two goals in the first 12 minutes, before adding a third in the 26th minute and would go into the locker room with a 3-0 lead.
The Hardrockers would not go down without a fight, however as
Hayden Jaramillo would score on a penalty kick, cutting the Chaps lead to 3-1, but they would add two more to take the match, 5-1.
Next up for the Hardrockers is a matchup Saturday in Portales, New Mexico, taking on Eastern New Mexico. That matchup is scheduled to kick-off at 5:00 p.m.
