Gage Rayman Named Assistant Track & Field Coach

RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota School of Mines track & field program is excited to announce the addition of Gage Rayman as an assistant coach.

Rayman most recently was the assistant coach at Saint Mary of the Woods College. From 2019-2023 Rayman coached the throwers at Saint Mary of the Woods. In addition to the coaching duties, Rayman oversaw the programs' transition from the USCAA to the NAIA and the design and construction of the throws facility on campus. Rayman also took on roles in recruiting and various administrative duties.

Prior to Saint Mary of the Woods, Rayman started his coaching career at the high school level at Aberdeen Central.

While in college, Rayman was a thrower himself at the Division II level, competing at the Division II level at Northern State University from 2013-18. Rayman also earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Northern State University.

I'm very excited to join the Hardrocker family and continue to build this program," said Rayman. "This is a very talented group that I can't wait to meet, coach, and help reach new heights with."
Rayman began work on July 5 and will oversee the throwers.
