Men's Soccer Announces 2023 Schedule

RAPID CITY, S.D. --- On Thursday morning, head coach Ryan Thompson finalized the 2023 South Dakota Mines soccer schedule.  
 
The Hardrocker soccer team heads into the season with optimism after a 2022 season where they showed promise. It is a heavy home schedule this year as the Hardrockers will play nine games at home compared to just six in 2022.   
 
South Dakota Mines starts the season with a home-heavy slate, having four of their first six at Dakota Fields. The season starts with a trip to MSU Billings on September 1. On September 3 and 6th, the Hardrockers have return matchups with Dakota Wesleyan and MSU Billings at home, with Texas A&M International slated to visit on the tenth. The first multi-game road trip of the year will follow for the Hardrockers as they take on Lubbock Christian and Eastern New Mexico on September 14 and September 16. Following that is a split weekend with non-conference matchups against MSU Denver on the 22nd in Rapid City, followed by a trip to Adams State on September 24th. To close the month of September, the Hardrockers travel to Denver to take on Westminster on September 29.
 
Opening the month of October, South Dakota Mines stays in Colorado to take on Colorado Mesa on the first. Two home games are scheduled for the second weekend of October as Fort Lewis and Adams State visit Rapid City on Friday and Sunday, the 6th and 8th. A Denver road trip looms as MSU Denver and Colorado Mines are on the docket for October 13 and 15. A final split weekend follows as the Hardrockers head to Colorado Christian for their final road game before finishing with three straight home games, starting with Regis on October 22nd. Closing the month and the season is a pair of home games, as the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and Colorado State University Pueblo visit Dakota Fields on October 27th and October 29th.
 
The Hardrockers home games take place at Dakota Fields and will be free to attend.
