Track & Field Records Over 30 Top-5s in Kearney

KEARNEY, Neb. --- The South Dakota Mines track and field teams were on the road in Nebraska for a one-day meet at the University of Nebraska Kearney Saturday.
 
As a team, the Hardrockers had success with six individual championships.
 
Thomas Greisen recorded his third collegiate title as a freshman, grabbing it in the 800m run. While sophomore Aidan Thompson continued his early careers success, took first in the discus throw for his first outdoor title, grabbing the #8 spot in the Hardrocker Top-10 in the event. Kevin Osmanski has rapidly progressed in his second year and won the hammer throw while setting a new school top-10 mark and took a top-five finish in the discus.
 
Abbie Saline had a great day on the women's side grabbing a school top-10 mark while winning the 800 meter run. Kat Tvrdy continued to impress as a freshman, winning the 1500m run with the fourth best time in school history. Kamryn Scully has had a very successful year through both the indoor and outdoor seasons as a jumper, and in relays, but she notched a victory in the 400 hurdles for the first time in addition to two more second place finishes.
 
Overall, the Hardrockers recorded 10 Hardrocker Top-10s, 32 top-5 finishes, 28 PRs, and six individual championships.
