Men's and Women's Track & Field Have Success in 32-Team Meet

PUEBLO, Colo. --- The South Dakota Mines track and field teams sent their teams to a big event hosted by CSU Pueblo on Friday and Saturday. The Spank Blasing Invitational hosted 16 men's and 16 women's track and field teams over the two-day event.
 
South Dakota Mines saw some success in their season-opening meet.
 
Jaycie Stubbs continued her record setting ways, throwing 13.10 in the shot put to set a new school record. In addition to the results below, Olivia Jurrens posted a top-20 finish in the women's hammer throw with a distance of 41.05 meters. Adisyn Schenck had a good performance as a true freshman in her first outdoor meet, finishing 26th (35.50) in the hammer throw, 10th in the women's javelin (33.34m), 16th in the shot put (10.42m). Clare Fischer, also listed below finished 15th in the 5K and set the #9 Hardrocker Top-10 mark in her first outdoor meet.
