PUEBLO, Colo. --- The South Dakota Mines women's golf team competed in the Pack Classic on Sunday, finishing up the first round.
Sitting in 14th after the first round, the Hardrockers had good individual performances, with both
Annika Schooler and
Rianna Garland sitting in the top-16.
As a team, the Hardrockers shot 332 in round 1. Schooler led the way, buoyed by shooting +1 on par 4's to a +3, 75 on the day, and sits in a tie for 10th. Garland rode her tournament-best par 3 scoring (-2) to sit in 16th overall, shooting a +4, 76.
Lora Ortega,
Mya Maxwell, and
Taylor Ullen shot 88, 93, and 97.
The women will finish off the tournament with 18 holes tomorrow, beginning with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m.
