RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota Mines Track & Field teams have officially announced their outdoor schedule for this spring.
After a successful indoor season, they will have about a month off before heading to Black Hills State to start their season on March 25 at the Yellow Jacket Spring Open.
April is a busy month for the track teams as they participate in five-straight weekends, starting with a meet at Chadron State to kick off the month on the first. The next weekend, the Hardrockers travel across the state to Vermillion, where they will take part in a bigger meet, hosted by Division I University of South Dakota. Following that, the teams head to Nebraska for the Loper Invitational, hosted by Nebraska-Kearney. The home meet, the Bauer Open is scheduled for the following Friday, April 21st. To end the month, the Hardrockers will head to Chadron State for the RMAC Championships from Friday, April 28-30.
The NCAA Division II Outdoor championships are penciled in for about a month later if any athletes qualify, that event is scheduled for May 25-27.
