GOLDEN, Colo. --- The South Dakota Mines track and field team sent a very limited number of participants to compete in the Mines Winter Classic.

Cody Harrington competed in his first multi, finishing 10th in the Heptathlon, scoring 3,224 points.
Brent Snyder also competed in the heptathlon, finishing 11th with a total of 3,030 points.

On the female side,
Abby Krumpus competed in her first pentathlon, recording 1,761 points. Â

The Hardrockers will head to a bigger meet this weekend when they go to South Dakota State to compete in the two-day SDSU Indoor Classic.
