BROOKFIELD, Ill. --- Earlier this week, the Don Hansen Football Committee released its' 2022 NCAA Division II All-America Team.
The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on Aug. 29, 2010. Hansen, from Brookfield, Ill., started and published Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988.
Jeremiah Bridges from South Dakota Mines was named as an honorable mention.
Bridges, a senior wide receiver from Atlanta was not only one of the best receivers in the RMAC but was also one of the best receivers in the country. He was 16th nationally at the Division II level in receiving touchdowns with 8. Bridges 1,233 receiving yards per game put him in 7th nationally. The 79 receptions he recorded were the 9th best total in the country. He notches a spot on this team after previously being named to the D2CCA All-Super Region team and to the All-RMAC First Team.
