RAPID CITY, S.D. --- South Dakota Mines Hardrocker football fans will find some new changes this year during home football games on Dunham Field at O'Harra Stadium.
The South Dakota Board of Regents approved beer sales statewide at all athletic events. Beer will be available from the ramp side concession stands where Hardrocker Ale and Coors products will be the only thing available from that location – no food. For the first home game on Saturday, all of the grandstands will be an alcohol-free zone. The concession stand under the grandstands will serve regular concessions only – no beer.
Also new this year will be the presence of food trucks. Hardrocker Athletics will provide food trucks in the tailgating area located at the end of Ramp A and/or Ramp B by the east Ramp Gate entrance.
"We hope to have a couple different options at each of our home games," said Hardrocker Associate Athletics Director
Brad Blume. "Between the food trucks and our partnership with Coors, I think Game Day at O'Harra Stadium is going to be an event not to be missed."
For the first game, the Philly Ted's food truck has been confirmed with the potential of another TBD. Ramp gates open at 10 a.m. on Saturday and the grandstand gates open at 11 a.m. Kickoff is slated for 12 p.m. against the Truman State Bulldogs.
