DENVER, COLO. --- The South Dakota Mines soccer team traveled to Denver to take on Lubbock Christian from the Lone Star Conference on Saturday afternoon.
The Chaparrals defeated the Hardrockers 4-0.
The Hardrockers couldn't find their stride as the Chaparrals scored three goals in the first half.
Lubbock Christian scored one more goal in the second half to take a 4-0 lead and that's how the game ended.
The Hardrockers were led with two shots by
George Martinez and a shot on goal by
Hayden Jaramillo.
The loss drops the Hardrockers record to 1-2-1. They will be in action again on Saturday against Eastern New Mexico for their home opener at Dakota Fields. Game time is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM.
