RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota Mines Soccer team hosted MSU Denver on Sunday and the Hardrockers battled throughout the game, earning more corner kicks and outshooting MSU Denver, but the Hardrockers were not able to capitalize on those opportunities, falling 2-0.
In the first half MSU Denver scored a goal in the 15th minute by Alec Rodriguez on an assist by Kazuki Peralta and in the second half (68th minute), they scored again – this time it was Adan Perez on an assist by Bryson Chiles.
The loss brings the Hardrockers record to 1-7-2 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
The Hardrockers will be on the road Friday and Sunday of this week as they take on CSU Pueblo and UCCS.
