Men's Basketball Releases 2022-23 Schedule

RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota Mines Men's basketball team officially released their schedule on Tuesday morning.
 
The Hardrockers challenge themselves as usual with three teams who qualified for the 2021-22 national tournament, including non-conference opponent MSU Moorhead.
 
The Hardrockers start with a non-conference schedule that includes the traditional Texas matchup. This year, the Hardrockers head to Texas, taking on Texas A&M University-Kingsville and Texas A&M University International on 11/11 and 11/12. Following those matchups, the Hardrockers head back across the river in South Dakota for the Augustana Classic where they will take on Augustana and MSU Moorhead on 11/18 and 11/19. After a little bit of a break, the Hardrockers finish up the month of November with their first two home games against MSU Billings and a non-traditional non-conference matchup with Black Hills Sate on 11/28.
 
Following that the Hardrockers head into winter break with four of six home matchups with the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and Regis University to begin December on 12/2 and 12/4, then a trip to Denver for matchups with Colorado Mines and Metropolitan State University Denver on 12/9 and 12/10. Following that, South Dakota Mines returns home for matchups on the 16th and 17th with Colorado State University-Pueblo then New Mexico Highlands University before heading into the break. Following the break, to end the 2022 year, the Hardrockers take on Fort Lewis and Adams State on the road for a matchup on the 30th and new years' eve.
 
January starts on the 7th with a single road game at Western Colorado prior to coming back to the King Center for matchups against Westminster and Colorado Mesa on 1/13 and 1/14. Colorado State University Pueblo and Black Hills State University are next on the schedule for road contests on 1/20 and 1/24. The month finishes up with a home contest vs. rival, Chadron State on the 28th.
 
February is a busy month for the men's basketball team with eight contests to end the regular season. First, they take on MSU Denver and the Colorado School of Mines on 2/3 and 2/4 before heading on the road to take on Regis and UCCS on 2/10 and 2/11, then facing Adams State University and Fort Lewis for their final two home games on 2/17 and 2/18. They wrap up the regular season the following week with Chadron State on Wednesday, the 22nd and Colorado Christian on the 25th.
