Men's Soccer Announces 2022 Schedule

RAPID CITY, S.D. --- On Thursday afternoon, head coach Ryan Thompson finalized the 2022 South Dakota School of Mines & Technology soccer schedule.

The Hardrocker soccer team heads into the season with optimism after a 2021 season where they lost seven one-goal games. Thompson is closing in on the school record in coaching wins and George Martinez is on the brink of school records.

We are very excited to jump into this new season," said Thompson. "This season is different from most due to the fact that we play 12 away games and only 6 home games. Being on the road so much comes with its challenges, but we believe we have the right group to make this a special season."

South Dakota Mines starts the season on the road with a return trip to St. Cloud State for a pair of matches on Aug. 26-Aug. 27.

To open up the month of September, the Hardrockers head to Mitchell, SD for a game at NAIA Dakota Wesleyan on the first, before heading to Denver to take on Lubbock Christian. Following that, the home opener takes place on September 11 against Lonestar opponent, Eastern New Mexico, before closing out the non-conference schedule on the 14th at MSU Billings before taking on three RMAC opponents on the road on the 16th, 18th, and 23rd taking on Colorado Christian, Adams State, and Regis. The home RMAC schedule opens up with a matchup against MSU Denver on the 25th, before closing the month of September at CSU Pueblo on the 30th.

After starting the month of October on the road against University of Colorado-Colorado Spring on the 2nd, the Hardrockers have a four-game home stand in which they take on Colorado School of Mines, Colorado Christian, Colorado Mesa, and Westminster on Oct. 7, 9, 14, and 16. The season will close on Oct. 21 and 23 with trips to Adams State and Fort Lewis.

The Hardrockers six home games will take place at Dakota Fields and are free to attend.
