KEARNEY, Neb. --- The South Dakota Mines track and field teams finished up their third of their last chance meets today in Kearney as they had a select group of student-athletes compete there and at the Azusa Pacific and in Concordia, Nebraska on Friday.
Â
The highlights of the meets were school records from
Tim Dunham and not one, but two school records for
Jeremiah Bridges. Dunham set his record late Friday night at Azusa Pacific in the 10K with a time of 10:32.47 to provisionally qualify for nationals. Bridges had a fantastic weekend, first setting a school record on Friday at Concordia with a 7.33-meter-long jump, only to break his own record on Saturday with a 7.43 mark. This was also a provisional mark for Bridges.

Top-5's
Kamryn Scully started the weekend off with a bang, recording a 5th place finish in the 400-meter hurdles at Concordia to get things rolling. In setting his first school record of the weekend, Bridges recorded a second-place finish in the long jump.
Jaycie Stubbs recorded another good performance coming off her RMAC Championship last weekend, finishing in 3rd at this event.Â
Â
On Saturday at the Loper Invite, Bridges' second school record would place him in second place once again, recording a 7.43-meter jump to get him provisionally qualified.
Jade Cass recorded a fourth-place finish in the men's high jump with a jump of 1.95 meters. Scully recorded her second top-five finish of the weekend, this time coming in fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:06.74.
