PUEBLO, Colo. --- The South Dakota Mines track and field teams competed in the first day of the RMAC Championships and saw some great early returns.

The Hardrockers received all-conference performances from
Tim Dunham and
Macy McClure, meanwhile
Adam Namyst and
Kamryn Scully performed well enough to qualify for the finals in their events.

Tim Dunham set a new school record and recorded a national qualifying time after conversion with his time of 31:15.81. He finished in 5th in the event, earning a 2nd Team All-Conference spot.
Â
McClure earned a first team all-conference spot, finishing 3rd in the Hammer Throw (51.44m).
Namyst finished 5th with a time of 55.24 in the provisional 400m hurdles, landing at #10 in the Hardorkcer Top-10 list and setting a new pr on his way to qualifying for the finals.

Scully also earned a trip to the finals, finishing in 6th with a time of 1:04.93 in the 400m hurdles.

New Hardrocker Top-10 marks were set by
Allyson Heiden – 10K (42:32.29, PR, #7),
Olivia Jurrens – Hammer Throw (43.03m, PR, #10).

With half of the Heptathlon completed
Aidan Thompson sits in 4th with 3,253 points and
Travis Kleinsasser sits in 6th with 3,115 points.

In addition,
Eli Barbot and
Amanda Cooley set PR's in the 400m hurdles (58.24) and the Hammer Throw (42.38m).

Day 2 begins at 9:45 a.m. tomorrow with the Decathlon with field events starting at 2:00 p.m. and running events starting at 4:30 p.m.
