SPEARFISH, S.D. --- The South Dakota Mines track and field teams continued their season with an outdoor meet in Spearfish at the Yellow Jacket Spring Open.

Both teams performed well with the Men finishing in 2nd (124 points) and the Women finishing in 5th (80 points). The meet had 11 men's teams competing and 10 women's teams.

South Dakota Mines won a total of 5 events, recorded 25 top-5 finishes, set 11 personal records, and 6 Hardrocker top-10 marks

The first-place finishes were recorded by the following individuals:
Ryan Moen – 10K (31:21.57, PR, school record),
Jeremiah Bridges – 100mh (15:23),
Adam Namyst – 400mh (57.23), Men's 4x4 Relay (Namyst, Barbot, Wells, Kokes, 3:28.78), and
Travis Kleinsasser – Decathlon (6006).
