Track and Field Bringing 26 to RMAC Championships

GUNNISON, Colo. --- The South Dakota Mines indoor track and field teams will head down to the campus of Western Colorado University for the RMAC Championships starting Friday and finishing on Saturday. Last week the Hardrockers finished the regular season at the BHSU Stinger Open on a high note. The Hardrockers had four first-place finishers, 17 personal records, and eight all-time top-ten marks set.

Head coach Steve Johnson says his team is ready to go. "We are really excited for the RMAC Championships," said Johnson. "It's an incredibly competitive meet and out student-athletes worked very hard to qualify for it. This will be one of the largest squads we've taken to the indoor championship. We are going to get to see some of the top student-athletes in Division II this weekend. It should be a great weekend of track and field!"
