COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- On Wednesday afternoon, the RMAC announced its football All-Academic team, and two Hardrocker Football players were honored.
Selected to the first team were tight end
Jake Leone, defensive lineman
Jarrett Meyer, and defensive backs
Kaleb Tischler and
Chandler Callejo.
Leone is a 4.0 graduate student, majoring in Civil Engineering. Meyer carries a 3.93 GPA in electrical engineering. Tischler has a 3.750 GPA in Business Management in Technology, while Callejo has a 4.0 in Mechanical Engineering.
To be eligible for the first team, a minimum of 3.5 GPA is required, while for the honor roll, a minimum of 3.3 is necessary.
In addition to
Jake Leone, Meyer, Tischler, and Callejo, 11 student-athletes earned spots on the honor roll. They were;
Otutoa Afu (3.30, business management in technology),
Jeremiah Bridges (3.33, construction engineering),
Jay Horning (3.82, chemical engineering),
Amire Jones (3.5, industrial engineering management),
Casey Knutsen (3.5, civil engineering),
Josh Leone (4.0, electrical engineering),
Jake Martinelli (4.0, chemical engineering),
David McDougall (3.67, civil engineering),
Kaleb Roth (3.54, mechanical engineering),
Alec Van Horn (3.57, mechanical engineering),
Spencer Zur (4.0, engineering management).
