Johannsen Earns Third Player of the Week Honor

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. --- On Monday afternoon, the RMAC selected and announced its' player of the week selections for football.
 
For the third time this season, Jayden Johannsen was named Offensive Player of the Week, becoming the first player in the DII era to win a weekly RMAC award three times in the same season.
 
Johannsen had another great day through the air as he tied a school record with six touchdown passes in just over three quarters of play before being pulled midway through the third due to a big lead. He added 238 yards through the air.
 
Johannsen is having a fantastic year and is a Harlon Hill Award candidate as he continues to show that he is one of the best quarterbacks in Division II football. His national ranks at the Division II level are as follows: Completion Percentage – 4th, 62.3%, completions per game – 1st, 22.12, passing efficiency – 3rd, 158.4, passing touchdowns – 2nd, 22, passing yards/passing yards per game – 1st, 2,479/309.9, total offense – 2nd, 351.0.  
 
Johannsen and the Hardrockers are looking to clinch their first back-to-back winning seasons since 1984-85 as they take on Adams State at home on Saturday. That game is scheduled for a noon kickoff.
