PUEBLO, Colo. --- The South Dakota Mines women's golf team played its first round at the Farmers Insurance Samuel Proal Invite in Pueblo.

In a tournament featuring many other RMAC schools, the Hardrockers had a good first round, shooting a 320 to sit in a tie for 5th among 10 competing schools.

The Hardrockers were led by
Rianna Garland who sits in a tie for fifth after shooting a +3 75.
Annika Schooler also sits in the top-20 after carding a 7-over 79.
Summer Christiansen,
Mya Maxwell, and
Lora Ortega shot 82, 84, and 84 in the round.

Also competing for the Hardrockers is
Jessalyn Shipp as an individual and she shot a 92.

The women will tee off for the final round tomorrow, starting at 9:30 a.m.
