Hardrocker Track and Field Wins 3 Individual Titles with Limited Squad

SPEARFISH, S.D. --- The South Dakota Mines Track and Field teams brought a limited squad to Spearfish on Saturday, finishing 3rd as a team on both the men's and women's sides with 11 top-5 finishers.
 
The Hardrockers got several good individual performances with two new South Dakota Mines top-10 all-time performances, 12 new personal records, and 3 individual titles.
 
On the men's side, Jade Cass went 1.99m to finish 1st in the event, set a new personal record, and moved into 5th on the all-time leaderboard at South Dakota Mines.
 
Warren Minerich also moved into the top-10, throwing 16.19m in the weight throw to finish 1st in the event, setting a new pr in the process, and moving into 6th on the all-time leaderboard. Jonathan Hopkins also finished 1st in the pole vault.

Jade Cass – Shot Put: 12.37m
Aidan Thompson – Shot Put: 11.94m
Kevin Osmanski – Weight Throw: 14.56m
Henry Fritzler – Weight Throw: 14.0m
Ian Cone – Weight Throw: 13.83m
Isaiah Thurman – Weight Throw: 13.08m
 
The women recorded 4 top-5 finishes with Macy McClure and Kamryn Scully finishing 4th in the shot put and third in the 60m hurdles, meanwhile Jenna Sayler finished 3rd in the shot put and weight throw. The remainder of the women's personal records are listed below.
 
Abby Krampus – 60m Dash: 9.34
Jaycie Stubbs – Shot Put: 11.62m
Amanda Cooley – Shot Put: 11.21m
Olivia Jurrens – Shot Put: 10.76m
 
Next up, the Hardrockers plan to bring a bigger squad back to Spearfish for the two-day Dave Little Alumni Mile event on January 21st and 22nd.
