RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota Mines track and field program will play host to the Bauer Open Saturday at O'Harra Stadium in Rapid City, South Dakota. It is the first time since 2017 that the Hardrockers have had the opportunity to hold the event.

The meet is slated to begin at 10am with field events, while the running events will get underway at 12 p.m. The hammer throw event unofficially kicks off the meet Friday afternoon starting at 3 p.m. behind the King Center.
Competing along with South Dakota Mines will be Black Hills State, Chadron State, MSU Billings and Dickinson University.

There will also be a kids' fun run 100-meter race that will take place at approximately 1 p.m. It will take place after the men's and women's 400 dash. To compete in the fun run, a registration table will be set up at the east end of the grandstands by the shot put area. All participants will receive a free t-shirt. The event is sponsored by the Black Hills Runners Club.

The meet will also be streamed live on the Hardrocker Network starting at approximately 10 a.m.
