RAPID CITY, S.D. --- With the indoor season in the books, the South Dakota Mines Hardrockers switch their focus to the outdoor season which is set to take place this weekend in Colorado.
The 'Rockers travel to Pueblo, Colorado for the CSU Pueblo Early Bird Meet to be held at the Neta And Eddie Derose Thunderbowl stadium.
The outdoor track and field season didn't take place last year because of COVID, so the Hardrockers are anxious to get outside and compete. Due to a spring snow storm, they have yet to get that opportunity as athletes have been prepping and training all week indoors.
The meet is slated to start Friday afternoon with the throwing events at 3 p.m. with the javelin and hammer throw and then will pick back up on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the remaining throwing events. The running event will get underway at 10:45 a.m.
The track meet will be streamed live on the Hardrocker Network by logging onto
www.gorockers.com and live scoring is available at:
