COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- On Wednesday morning, the RMAC selected and announced its' All-Conference selections for men's soccer.
George Martinez was selected Second Team All-Conference.
Martinez played a big part in the Hardrockers' improved offensive performance this season especially early in the season when the Hardrocker offense was hitting on all cylinders, setting a program record with 6 goals in the first 3 games.
As of Oct. 6, Martinez was 1
st in the RMAC in goals and points, as well as 2
nd and 3
rd in shots and shots on goal. For the season, he finished with 7 goals (5
th in the RMAC), 19 shots on goal (6
th in the RMAC), and 16 points (6
th in the RMAC). Going into next year, Martinez will have a shot to take over many of the offensive career and season records for South Dakota Mines.

Ryan Thompson, continuing, "he came out hungry this season and the work he put in during the off season showed and propelled him to the best season he's had since becoming a Hardrocker. We are very excited to see how he continues to grow throughout this offseason, and what he can do next year."
