COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. --- On Monday afternoon, the RMAC selected and announced its' player of the week selections for football.
Jayden Johannsen was selected as Offensive Player of the Week after his fantastic performance at Adams State. Johannsen was critical to the Hardrockers earning their first RMAC win of the season.
Johannsen started early, connecting on a 50-yard touchdown pass on the opening drive, then later in the first half connected with
Collin Zur for an 18-yard strike, however it wasn't until the second half when he got rolling and was key to the come-from-behind victory.
Johannsen recorded rushing touchdowns of 15, and 16-yards in the third quarter to put the Hardrockers in front 38-35. Midway through the fourth quarter, Johannsen ran it in for a 15-yard rushing touchdown, that virtually sealed the game, giving the Hardrockers a 45-35 lead with just over 6-minutes remaining in the game.
Johannsen completed 19 of 32 pass attempts for 277 passing yards and added 115 yards rushing on 15 attempts. Johannsen added 5 total touchdowns, 3 rushing, and 2 passing.
