RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota School of Mines indoor track and field team will travel east to Brookings, South Dakota this weekend to compete in the South Dakota State Indoor Classic. The meet will take place on the campus of SDSU in the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex this Friday and Saturday.
Running events will start at 4 p.m. on Friday. Then on Saturday both running and field events will kick off at 10 a.m. (Times are MDT).
Last week at the Ted Nelson Classic in Mankato, Minnesota,
Jayla Jarnagin finished ninth in the weight throw and 20
th in the shot put. On the men's side, the 4x400 meter relay team of
Korder Cropsey,
Kevin Ptak,
Danny Conlisk, and
Adam Namyst placed third with a time of 3:28.13. Ptak also finished seventh in the 400 meter final with a time of 50.51.
Erica Keeble traveled to Lincoln, Nebraska, to compete at the Husker Invite last Friday and came home with a win in the pole vault. Keeble won the event in a jump of and was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Field Athlete Of The Week for her efforts.
