Hardrocker Volleyball Camps Set To Start This Coming Week

RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota School of Mines women's volleyball team will be holding its Hardrocker Volleyball Prospect Camp Sunday through Wednesday at the King Center in Rapid City, S.D.  

It is an advanced skills development camp designed for high level high school volleyball players entering grades 10-12. The camp currently has athletes signed up from 12 different states11773.

The camp is under the direction of SD Mines volleyball head coach Lauren Torvi and assisted by Hardrocker assistant Savannah Cox along with the help of current Hardrocker volleyball scholar-athletes.

The camp also emphasizes individual position and skill training and campers will have the opportunity to enhance their skills before entering competitive game-training and play.

The Prospect Camp aims to target all college-bound volleyball athletes and give them the opportunity to learn more about South Dakota School of Mines as well as the recruiting process.

Campus tours and admission meetings can be scheduled during the camp. All overnight campers will stay in the dorms and receive all meals. Commuters will receive lunch and dinner. Camp T-shirts and a trip to Mt. Rushmore will also be included.
Cost of the Prospect Camp is $250 for overnight campers and $200 for commuter campers.

Following the Prospect Camp will be the Hardrockers Skills Camp slated for Wednesday through Friday and is designed to improve skill level, enhance player development, and build confidence in your ability.

This camp is geared toward all students entering grades K-9 in fall 2019. This is a fundamentals camp that will cover passing, setting, serving, hitting, blocking, digging, emergency skills, serve receive, defense and game play.

This camp is a great way to improve all volleyball skills and is excellent for beginners and players with limited experience. Camp t-shirts will be given to all skills campers.

Cost of the Skills Camp is $100 per camper with a sibling discount (50 percent).


Both camps deadlines to signup online are Saturday at midnight but walk-ups are allowed.
