RAPID CITY, S.D.--- The South Dakota School of Mines Men's and Women's indoor track & field teams are set to travel to Alamosa, Colorado this weekend to compete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday. The meet will be held on the campus of Adams State University – home of the Grizzlies.
The Hardrockers are sending 22 athletes to this year's Indoor Championships -- 16 from the men's side, and six from the women's team.
Competing at the RMAC Indoor Championships this weekend on the women's side

Erica Keeble is once again the No. 1 ranked women's pole vaulter in the RMAC after she cleared a height of 4.05 meter at the Stinger Open on February 15
thand automatically qualified for the NCAA Div. II National Indoor Championships.

Adeline Straatmeyer will be competing in two event --, the mile run and the 3,000. Her fastest time in the mile is 5:08.01 which she ran at the Stinger Open on February 15
th. She is currently ranked 20
th. In the 3,000 her fastest time is 10.23.26, a time that she set at the Ted Nelson Classic on February 2
nd, she is ranked 23
rd in this event.

Erica Westerman will be competing in the 800, her fastest time came during the SDSU Indoor Classic on February 8
th when she finished with a time of 2:15.96, this time puts her in 12
th heading into the weekend.

Kayla Gagen will be competing in the 800 run, her fastest time this season came of February 2
nd at the Ted Nelson Classic, she recorded a time of 2:22.40, Gagen is currently ranked 22
nd in this event.
- In the 400,
Katherine Mathieu will be representing the Hardrockers. Mathieu posted her fastest time of 1:03.29 at the CSC Open on January 20
th.

Annalie Janus will be competing in the 60 dash. She is currently ranked 26
th in the RMAC with a time of 8.04, this time was set at the SDSU Indoor Classic on February 8
th.

Jonathon Murray will be seen running the 200 and the 400 this weekend. In the 200, Murray is ranked 12
th with a time of 22.48, and in the 400 Murray is ranked 3
rd with a time of 48.71 which he set at the SDSU Holiday Invite on November 30
th.

Kevin Ptak will also be running in the 200 and the 400 races. Ptak has a time of 22.65 in the 200, putting him in 20
th, in the 400 he has a time of 49.78 putting him in 11
th. Ptak ran this time on February 8
th at the SDSU Indoor Classic.

Cody Allen holds the ranking of fifth in the shot put with a distance of 16.00 meters. Allen set this on December 1
st at the Yellow Jacket Holiday Classic.

Westley Siebdrath will compete in the shot put and the weight throw. In the shot put Siebdrath is ranked 16
th with a distance of 14.04 which he set last week. In the weight throw he is ranked sixth with a distance of 16.14m that he set on January 20
th at the CSC Open.

Andrew Ferris currently sits ninth heading into the 800 run with a time of 1:53.78, which was set on February 8
th at the SDSU Indoor Classic.

Casey Skillingstad will compete in the pole vault and is heads into the conference championships ranked 10
th after clearing season-best height of 4.57 last weekend at the BHSU Stinger Open.

Jeremy Gonzales will be competing in the 60, Gonzales set his season best with a time of 7.17 on February 15
th at the Stinger Open, he is currently ranked 21st.
- Also running in the 60 is
Korder Cropsey who sits in 24
th with a time of 7.16 which he set on December 1
st. Cropsey is also competing in the 200 and 400 dashes. He is ranked 24
th in the 200 with a time of 22.69 and is 22
nd heading into the 400 with a time of 50.63.

Jacob Huber comes in 14
th for the 800 after posting a time of 1:54.90 at the Stinger Open on February 15
th.

Chase Wood ranks in at 18
th for this event with a time of 1:55.27 which he also set at the Stinger Open last weekend.
- Connor Christenson is currently ranked 18
th in the high jump with a height of 1.90 meter, a height he set on January 20
th at the CSC Open.

Carter Kasuske will also be competing in the high jump, as well as the triple jump. Kasuske is currently ranked 25
th with a mark of height of 1.68. In the triple jump Kasuske in ranked 14
th with a distance of 13.16m which he set back on December 1
st.

Darren Nissen ranks in at 23
rd for the triple jump with a distance of 12.21 meters. Nissen will also compete in the long jump where he is ranked 21
st with a distance of 6.64 meters, a distance he set back on December 1
st.
- Erick Colman will also compete in the shot put and weight throw this weekend. Colman is ranked 17
th in the shot put with a distance of 14.01, and 18
th in the weight throw with a distance of 14.25.

Cole Smith currently sits in 16
th place in the pole vault with a height of 4.42, a height that he set last weekend.

Jared Wilson will also compete in the pole vault, he is currently ranked 20
th in this event with a height of 4.28m which he set at the Ted Nelson Classic on February 2
nd.
