RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The South Dakota School of Mines volleyball team is set to host two RMAC opponents this weekend in the King Center.
The Hardrockers are coming off a split weekend where they dismantled Adams State in four sets. SD Mines is now 10-12 overall with a 6-7 RMAC record and sit in 10
th in the RMAC standings. The 'Rockers are looking to make the push in the final five matches to make the RMAC tournament.
The Hardrocker offense has put away 1,130 kills on the season while maintaining a .189 hitting percentage. They are averaging 12.6 kills per set.
Dana Thomson leads all Hardrockers with 396 kills on the season with a .253 hitting percentage. Thomson leads not only the RMAC but NCAA Div. II in overall kills. She is looking to build off a standout week where she was named RMAC Offensive Player of the Week and broke the RMAC record for kills in a five-set match.
Defensively, the Hardrockers have collected 1,538 digs while averaging 17.1 per set. The Hardrockers currently rank sixth in the RMAC for digs per set as a team while freshman libero
Anna Thomas sits in second in the conference and 11
th in the nation for individual digs per set. Thomas had a standout performance in Friday's game as she tallied the RMAC's third highest number of digs in a five-set match all-time.

Jacey Koethe is totaling 73 blocks on the season and is ranked ninth in the RMAC in blocks per set.
On Friday night, the Hardrockers will square off with the Colorado Christian Cougars who are 8-13 overall with a 4-9 record in RMAC play. The Cougars are coming off a weekend where they played 10 sets of volleyball and were able to come out with a win over Colorado School of Mines.
The Cougars are currently averaging 12.1 kills per set and have tallied 978 kills on the season. CCU is led offensively by outside hitter Cali Bahnsen, who has posted 231 of the Cougars 978 kills. So far, this season, the Cougars have tallied 1,339 digs and are averaging 16.5 per set.
Saturday night, the Hardrockers will face the Regis University Rangers, a team that currently sit atop the RMAC standings with a 18-3 overall record and a RMAC record of 12-1. Their only RMAC loss of the season was handed to them by MSU Denver --- who the Hardrockers took down in four sets earlier this season.
The Rangers are averaging 13.3 kills per set after collecting 1,000 kills on the season. They are led by middle blocker Nikki Kennedy and Kelsey Green who have tallied 206 and 193 kills on the season. Ranger setter Silvia Basso is currently averaging 10.06 assists per set.
