Rapid City, S.D. --- The South Dakota School of Mines women's volleyball team returns home this weekend for two matches against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opponents taking on No. 24 ranked Colorado School of Mines on Friday and then a matchup with UCCS on Saturday afternoon.
The Hardrockers will square off with an 11-2 Oredigger team that is also 5-0 in RMAC play and sits atop the conference standings. Colorado School of Mines has won their last five matches dropping just four sets of those five matches.
The Orediggers will bring a trio of fire power to the match with the likes of sophomore outside hitter Lindsey Jin (114 Kills), freshman outside hitter Amanda Donais (100 Kills), and junior middle blocker Abby Tiesman (170 Kills).
The Orediggers defeated UCCS Tuesday for the 10th straight time and Adams State Friday for the ninth straight time. Saturday's win over Fort Lewis marked Colorado School of Mines' 12th consecutive sweep of the Skyhawks. The Orediggers three victories extend their active winning streak to five-straight matches. The Orediggers lead the RMAC in hitting percentage and rank second in assists per set.
Individually,
Drew Stokes earned RMAC Setter of the Week honors after dishing out 125 assists with 10 digs and seven total blocks. She has 555 assists on the season and is the No. 2 in the RMAC in assists per set.
On Saturday, the Lady Rockers will take the court against University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (4-9) at 3 p.m. The Mountain Lions have won two of their last five matches against RMAC opponents and currently sit in ninth place in the RMAC standings.
UCCS takes their two-match winning streak on the road this weekend to Black Hills State University Friday night before challenging SD Mines.
Looking at the UCCS squad, sophomore setter Raelyn Edge is ranked third overall in the RMAC in assists, with an average of 10.72 assists per set. She also leads the RMAC with the most assists in one match: 75 in five sets against Adams State (non-conference), which is 14 more assists than the next ranked player. UCCS is ranked fourth in average assists per set (12.19).
Redshirt freshman libero
Jordyn Kinsey is seventh overall in digs in the RMAC with an average of 4.68 digs per set. She recorded the seventh most digs in a match with 30 digs against Tarleton State. Kinsey leads the team in digs with 248.
Sophomore middle blocker
Josie Russell is fourth in the RMAC in hitting percentage with .340 percent. She posted the second and eighth best attack percent in a match amongst RMAC teams with a .636 against Adams State (non-conference) and .560 against Henderson State, respectively.
Junior middle blocker
Lauren Brown tallied the sixth best attack percent in a match with a .579 mark against vs. Western New Mexico. She leads the team with 45 total blocks.

Taylor Smith (2.46 average kills per set) have assisted tremendously in pushing UCCS to fourth in the RMAC in average kills per set with 13.08, and sixth in hitting percentage with .192.
The 'Rockers will have their own fire power on the court this weekend with freshman outside hitter
Dana Thomson. Thomson will start the weekend ranked No. 6 in the nation for points per set (5.02) and kills per set (4.60) --- she is also ranked 18
th in the nation for total kills (193).
Thomson isn't the only producer for the Hardrockers, as senior middle hitter
Anna Breidt has made an impact on the scoring sheet recently and currently has 82 kills and 2.51 points per set this season.
South Dakota Mines ranks second overall in the league in digs (16.55 per set).
