Hardrockers Close Out Season Against Skyhawks

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota School of Mines football team will close out the 2018 season with the final game of the season Saturday against Fort Lewis College in a 1 p.m. Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matchup on Dunham Field at O'Harra Stadium in Rapid City, South Dakota.

The Hardrockers are 4-6 overall this season and 3-6 in RMAC play. SD Mines is 4-1 at home this season with their only loss coming this past weekend in a heartbreaking defeat to Chadron State College, 50-46.

SD Mines is having a record-breaking season with an offense that scores a lot, averaging 44 points per game, and accumulates a tremendous amount of yards.

The Hardrockers head into the final weekend ranked second in the nation in total offense (550.9 yards per game); third in passing offense (336 ypg); sixth in scoring offense (44.2 ppg); first in third down conversion percentage (.562); first in first down offense (289 total).

That also transfers well into individual performances as a number of the senior play-makers are reaping the benefits as well.
