"It was certainly a spirited effort on our part after the first set. Coming from behind late to win the third set was nice to see. We did a lot of things well at times. We blocked effectively in stretches, we defended some big swings, and we served them out of system quite a bit," said Hardrocker volleyball head coach Doug Tabbert. "We were also more assertive and more balanced offensively than we have been and they are very good defensively. Overall, we showed significant progress this weekend. Now we need to take the good things we did into Tuesday night."
Regis collectively had an impressive performance. The Rangers posted 60 kills to SD Mines 39, and 57 assists to the Lady Rockers 34.
The loss drops SD Mines to 1-26 on the season and 0-16 in the RMAC. SD Mines will now return home for their final two matches of the season. Next up the Lady Rockers host Black Hills State on Tuesday night at 7pm.
