RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Dakota Mines Soccer opens RMAC play with Colorado School of Mines at home on Friday, followed by a contest at #20 Regis on Sunday.

Series History

South Dakota Mines is 1-12 all-time against Colorado School of Mines. They picked up their first-ever win last week in Golden, Colorado. After being down 2-0 at the start of the second half, the Rockers staged a comeback with three straight goals from Nickolas North, Rider Grow and Even Henriksen to win 3-2.

Regis holds an 11-1 all-time record against the Hardrockers. The lone Hardrocker win was a 1-0 victory on Sept. 22, 2015. Last season, the Rangers defeated the Rockers 3-1 at Dakota Fields. Nickolas North had the lone goal for the Hardrockers.

About the Orediggers

Colorado School of Mines comes to Rapid City with an 0-6-2 overall record. After drawing Adams State last Wednesday, they fell to the Rockers 3-2 at Stermole Soccer Stadium. They are still looking for their first win of the 2026 campaign under interim head coach Ben Fredrickson.

Murray Peart leads the team with two goals and five total points. He has 13 total shots and eight shots on goal. Pol Garcia Oliveras leads the Orediggers with 15 shots and is second with four points. They were picked eighth in the RMAC Preseason Poll.

About the Rangers

In the recent United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll, Regis ranked #20 with their 3-2-2 overall record. Their highlight win of the season was a 1-0 victory at #3 Fort Hays State. Last week, they defeated Westminster 3-0 but fell to #3 UCCS 2-1.

Jacobo Betancourt-Tovar and Michael Ajagbe both lead the Rangers with three goals this season. Goalkeeper Zach Jennings is second in the RMAC with three shutouts and fourth with 21 total saves. Regis was picked second in the RMAC Preseason Poll this season.

About the Hardrockers

South Dakota Mines is 4-1-2 and sits in third place in the conference. Their four wins have come over Morningside, Mount Marty, Colorado School of Mines and Adams State. In their 6-0 victory against Adams State, Julen Arteaga recorded two goals and North tallied three assists.

Lucas Miranda leads the team with five goals so far this season. That mark is tied for first in the RMAC. North leads the conference with 12 points in seven games played. The Hardrockers are tied for first with 21 goals scored this season. The Rockers were picked to finish in ninth place in the RMAC Preseason Poll.
