RAPID CITY, SD – Abdo Salem Abdullah of South Dakota Mines Men's Soccer has been named the RMAC Goalkeeper of the Week.
Abdullah earned two wins over the weekend at Adams State and at home versus Colorado Mesa. The sophomore transfer allowed two goals and made three saves in the Hardrockers 4-2 win over the Grizzlies.
Against Colorado Mesa on Sunday, Abdullah earned his first clean sheet of the season, helping the Hardrockers to a 4-0 win over the Mavericks. In total, he made seven saves against the Mavericks offense.
Abdullah recorded a .833 save percentage between both games. His season .769 save percentage is second in the RMAC. His 1.0 goals against average is also second in the league.
He is the second player to win a Player of the Week award this season for the Hardrockers.
Erik Castanon earned offensive honors on Sept. 16.
What's Next
The Hardrockers will kick off RMAC play at Colorado School of Mines on Friday at 7 p.m. They come back home to start a three-game homestand, beginning with Regis on Oct. 5 at 1 p.m.
