COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Hannah Benes has been named the RMAC Defensive Player of the Week after guiding the Hardrockers to a 2-0 weekend.
For the third time in her career,
Hannah Benes has been honored with the RMAC Defensive Player of the Week award.
Benes totaled 41 digs this weekend at Western Colorado and Fort Lewis. In eight total sets played, Benes recorded 5.12 digs per set, including a 25-dig performance in the Hardrockers 3-2 win over the Skyhawks. She also collected five assists and three aces between both matches.
So far this season, Benes leads the Hardrockers with her 4.45 digs per set. That mark is third in the RMAC. In her career, Benes has 1,362 total digs and 3.97 digs per set.
What's Next
South Dakota Mines is at home for the first time this weekend. They will take on CSU Pueblo on Sept. 26 at 6 p.m., followed by a contest with Colorado Christian on Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. The Hardrockers will battle with Black Hills State at home on Sept. 30 at 7 p.m.
