Arizona – The South Dakota Mines golf teams were in action for their first spring tournaments of the year on Monday and Tuesday.
Competing in the Maverick Desert Classic in Goodyear, Arizona were the men, while the women took part in the SMSU Spring Invite in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
The men finished in 13th with
Alex Makarchuk leading the way. Makarchuk finished in 24th, shooting a +4.
Everette Carroll closed with a top 50 finish, scoring 9-over.
Supawich Boonta and
Tyler White each finished 12-over, while
Braydon Jones and
Matai Naqica finished +19 and +21.
A +83 combined finish for the women gave them a ninth-place finish.
Kyra Allen led the way, finishing in the top 30 with a +15.
Kenzie Schroeder and
Addiley Lloyd finished +19 and +20, taking spots in the top 50.
Marin Keller finished with a +29, while
Lora Ortega, Portia Lenczowksi and
Taylor Ullen finished +32, +41 and +45.
