RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota Mines soccer team hosted fellow RMAC opponent Adams State in a non-RMAC matchup in their home opener on Friday afternoon.
It was a tale of opportunities early as the Hardrockers had their fair share of chances in the first half with two balls hitting the crossbar and barely missing on two passes in the box that would've resulted in near open net opportunities from close range. At the same time, Adams State capitalized on theirs, scoring three times and building a 3-0 lead going into the half.
Jeff Wacker would score a goal in the second half for South Dakota Mines, but it wouldn't be enough as Adams State would score three more times and win it, 6-1.
