OFFENSIVE IMPROVEMENT
South Dakota Mines appears to have improved on the offensive side after their first four contests, scoring in all but one matchup.

Shots, shots on goal, goals all are up from where they were at this time in 2023.

ONE AWAY
Hayden Jaramillo is one assist shy of sitting solo atop the all-time career leaderboard at South Dakota Mines with 10. Currently, he sits at nine with Andreas Skau. Jaramillo's role has shifted a bit into more of an attacker as he is leading the team in shots and shot on goal percentage (min. 4 shots). His average of 1.25 shots on goal per game is in the top 10 in the RMAC.

FRESHMAN FRENCH
Ethan French has done a good job of making a difference early in his career as a freshman as he is currently second on the team in shots and shots on goal with five and three.

IN GOAL
The combination of Daniel Freitas and Charles Thompson have played all the minutes in goal while splitting time. Freitas has gotten all the starts, while Thompson has also earned over 70 minutes of playing time as a true freshman. Thompson currently has the advantage in goals against average and save percentage.

SCOUTING DAKOTA WESLEYAN
Dakota Wesleyan got their season underway just about a month ago and is 3-2-2 with  a win streak of two and currently riding an undefeated streak of four games with two wins and two draws in their last four contests.

Their goals have been dispersed fairly evenly, with six different goal scorers, but Lewis Cunningham hs two to lead the team and be the only one with multiple goals.

Venas Stani is tied with Cunningham for the point lead as he has a goal and two assists – to lead the team – and total four points thus far.

Vladislav Burkov, Colton Douglas, Neil Ennis and Charlie Orsler are the other goal scorers for the Tigers.

Senior Garrett Douglas and Junior Ryan Flannery have split time in net thus far with the former starting and playing in three matches, while the latter has started and played in two matches.

It does appear that there will be opportunities to score for the Hardrockers as each of the aforementioned goalkeepers has a save percentage at .600 or lower and have combined to allow 10 goals in their seven matches.

LOOKING AHEAD
Following the short trip across the state, the Hardrockers are slated to host their home opener and senior day on September 27 as they take on Adams State for an early Friday afternoon matchup, taking them on at 1:00 p.m.
